Israel is a country located in the Middle Eastern sector of the world. It is held in high esteem as the Holy Land of Muslims, Jews and Christians alike. With a population of over 8 million people, this country has been subjected to many wars and troubled times, but ended up as one of the most beautiful places to visit in the Middle Eastern hemisphere. While the locals are used to speaking in English whenever necessary, they much rather speak in Hebrew and Arabic.
Among the popular sites in Israel, Nazareth is one of its top. The city itself is of great importance to the Christian community, as the Holy Bible mentions how Jesus Christ lived a part of his life in this city, and even went by the name Jesus of Nazareth. While there is much religious emphasis on the city, it has its own rich history and culture.
If you enjoy the occasional climb up a hill, or hiking, The Golan Heights is the place to be. Located towards the northern part of the country, this area provides both a challenging rock climb as well as thrilling hiking path for its visitors. The majestic sites you see will be etched in your memories forever. The nature reserve is especially beautiful during spring, which is when all the flowers would be in full bloom and the grass greener than green itself.
Jerusalem is also a must see place when visiting Israel. It is home to Christianity, Islamism and Judaism. One would almost feel as though they are travelling back in time. This feeling is in no small part caused by the rich architecture and locations of various monuments. Right in the center of the city is a great temple, with magnificent walls and a rich history to back it up. The city is divided into 4 sectors as well. Each of them hold a key religious belief and have their own unique cultures. Though divided by faith, the city always entertains its guests and will be one of the best places to visit when in Israel.
